Tip: keep the software up to date

There were recent reports about SwitchBot not responding correctly to the commands issued via the mobile app: sometimes the arm swings at the first touch in the app, sometimes after 2-3 tries, and sometimes do not swing even after multiple tries.
We located the root cause and managed to improve the wireless reliability to higher than 99.95% a few months ago.
In the past weeks, we received rare reports with similar issues, and all turned out as an outdated firmware.
Kindly keep your mobile app and firmware up to date, and make sure you enjoy the fun and convenience with SwitchBot.

Hey backers! How are your days with SwitchBot?
We are proud to announce that the Alexa skill (https://www.amazon.com/Wonderlabs-Inc-SwitchBot/dp/B076MK7CF6/) and IFTTT service (https://ifttt.com/switchbot) have been released!
You guys can try them out now with the latest Android App. The updated iOS App is still under Apple's review and should be ready early next week.
Moreover, the integration with Google Assistant is on the way and we will update it here https://www.switch-bot.com/works-with.
Still do not know how to get started? No worry, we are working on a tutorial video.
SwitchBot team will be displaying the full lineup of products for the first time at CES 2018. Some new products in our SwitchBot family will be launched there too!

All rewards have been shipped out already!
We started shipping in batches since the last month. Though many unexpected development and production issues were raised during this period, we are proud to announce that all the parcels have been shipped out. Our Android and iOS apps keep improving, and we need your comments to increase the reliability and bring more features. Feel free to share your ideas in our community or drop us an email to [email protected].
Since we have modified the communication protocol and moved our cloud service to the AWS for the global deployment, all the backend services need to be re-built like Alexa skills, Google actions and IFTTT receipts. These would be ready in the next month. Again, feel free to let us know your favorite way to control SwitchBots!
